Located on a private beach in Mactan Island. The well landscaped small resort is set on 5 hectares. There are three types of rooms. Standard Rooms / Deluxe Room (45 sq/mtrs – including verandah) with garden/ pool view, and The Royal Bungalows located on the beach (75 sq/mtrs). 82 rooms in all. No internet in the room. However it is available at USD4 per hour. or $48 (per 12 hours) in the compact business centre.

Other facilities include: 2 restaurants, dive shop, and 3 swimming pools. Breakfast is included in the deal. Buffet lunch (Sundays only) is $20 per person. Buffet dinner is $25. A decent place to chill out for a weekend if you don’t mind crowds. A mid week stay would be well advised. If you’re trying to get about for a ‘quiet’ break, MBR will do the trick. Just remember, this is a classic resort where you are encouraged to stay within the compound and spend… Needless to say, with no close-by dining or shopping options; you have little choice so figure on a big extras bill in addition to the not-so-cheap room rate.

The hotel has recently opened a seafood restaurant. CA hasn’t yet sampled its produce but it is pretty hard to go wrong with seafood in Cebu!
